I remember when I was taking my driving lessons some years back, one of my biggest challenge was understanding the process of completing a clean parallel parking, no matter how many times or how well my driving instructor explained, I just could not figure it out. Â When I did eventually did, I was hoping it was good enough for the driving test and hoped I would never have to use it again, but having those thought, I was only fooling myself.
Even after so many years, I still find that parallel parking can be very difficult to complete without taking my time or even making sure the space is big enough and any driver out there would agree that when sitting in your cockpit, the parking space can be easily misjudged especially if you drive something quite big.
Ford has taken technology to another level, and parking sensors in cars is not new, but its only recently we have seen it used in a more technical and practical way.  Anyone who thinks the likes of the Ford B-Max is huge and would be a problem trying to find a parking space for it in town then trying to park in the space found need not worry because Ford is not just about car size and practicality, they also try to help you Go Further by applying technology that will take away as much stress as possible away from your day to day driving needs.
Active Park Assist, a clever technology helps to steer you into the tightest parking spaces with the push of a button, the sensors of this innovative system will locate a big enough space as you pass it. It will then steer you into the space, while all you have to do is follow the on-screen instructions and audible signals to operate the accelerator, gears and brake.
Sounds truly awesome and that is just the tip of the iceberg, don’t just take my word for it, you should check out Ford.com to see some of those technology in action.
