What's This?

ASUS’ latest effort in handheld gaming hardware has seen some impressive results, and the company’s newest gaming machine – the ROG Ally – has pretty much made a name for itself in the portable gaming segment. The ROG Ally competes with the likes of the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch, offering users on-the-go gaming as well as a dockable home-based solution for your entertainment needs.

With that in mind, we’ve seen several companies offer a wide range of accessories for the ROG Ally – one of these is Syntech, which recently announced its rather handy 6-in-1 USB-C Docking Station, which aims to give ROG Ally users a single hardware interface for different purposes.

Made from PCB and ABS+PC material, Syntech adds that the 6-in-1 dock is designed to be portable, allowing users to take it with them during traveling. The company states that the dock’s design outshines competitors on the market, and was specially developed to go with the ROG Ally’s overall design.

Comparing it to other competing docks on the market, Syntech says that the rounded base design of the 6-in-1 Dock has a more streamlined and minimalist appearance as well. The company says that the design of the base is larger and provides for more stability, in addition to a built-in silicone Anti-Slip pad that prevents the console from falling backwards. If you use a case for your ROG Ally, the dock will also be able to accommodate most covers and cases on the market.

In terms of connectivity, the docking station comes with six different ports, and includes support for 4K resolution output and TVs with 60Hz refresh rates. It comes with a a HDMI 2.0 4K@60Hz output, a Gigabit Ethernet input, 3 X USB-A 3.0 output, and a USB-C 3.0 for full speed charging, and doubles as a base stand for the ROG Ally when not in use. Syntech says that the docking station is designed to extend a user’s gaming setup, allowing the Ally to connect to different monitors, controllers, and other accessories.

The dock is also compatible with other devices that use USB-C charging ports, such as tablets and smartphones, and even the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch. If you want to grab one for yourself, it’s available now on Amazon for £36.99.
