If you’ve been paying attention to tech in the last few years, then you’ve probably noticed that Lenovo’s been putting a lot of effort into stepping up its tablet game. We’ve seen some pretty impressive devices over the years, and this time it’s the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro that’s getting all the attention. First introduced to the public back in January at CES 2025, Lenovo has finally made the tablet available in a few markets such as India.

Lenovo is marketing the Idea Tab Pro as a productivity-focused device, which has been a common trend across different Android manufacturers especially considering how versatile Android is as an operating system. As such, the Idea Tab Pro is equipped with a large 12.7-inch display, which is fairly large especially when compared to devices such as the 13-inch MacBook Air M4, for example. While it’s not an OLED panel, it’s pretty sharp with a 2944×1840 pixel resolution, in addition to a 144Hz refresh rate, although it’s moderately bright at only 400 nits.

For software, the tablet comes with Android 14, which is somewhat older at this point given that Android 16 is only a couple of months away. Lenovo says that the tablet will only get two years of major software upgrades, which is something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a tablet with long-term software support. There’s a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chip running the show, which is a very capable mobile chip especially with a decent-enough 8GB of RAM in the mix, and up to 256GB of internal storage. This should be enough for most productivity tasks, and maybe even a bit of gaming every now and then.

The Idea Tab Pro is powered by a beefy 10,200 mAh battery, and should be able to last most users well over a day, perhaps even more if their usage steers towards more moderate tasks and apps such as web browsing, social media apps, and content streaming. While charging isn’t too fast at 45W, this is reasonable enough given the tablet’s midrange pricing and specs. There’s also a quad-speaker setup with support for 3.5mm wired audio, and even a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
