OnePlus’s MWC surprises aren’t over – following the launch of its brand new Wear OS-powered smartwatch, the company also announced that it will be launching a special edition variant of the OnePlus 12R, which will now be available in an exclusive Genshin Impact design. The new launch comes as a result of a collaboration between OnePlus and HoYoVerse, the brand behind the popular Genshin Impact mobile RPG.

While the OnePlus 12R was originally launched way back in January alongside the OnePlus 12, this is the first time that the game has received a special gaming makeover. Speaking on the collaboration, OnePlus President and COO Kinder Liu states:
“Our collaboration with HoYoverse has propelled the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition to new heights. We’re not just delivering a phone, we’re delivering a gateway to a wide gaming universe, with no compromises on graphics or performance. We’ve really pushed the boundaries to ensure gamers enjoy uninterrupted high-quality graphics and gameplay when they play heavy duty games on their phones. We believe that players will feel the difference while using this custom edition.”
Design and Hardware Specs
In terms of looks, the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition comes in a rather purply colour, with design accents inspired by one of the game’s characters, Keqing. For hardware the 12R Genshin Impact Edition comes with all the same specs found on the regular model, including the large 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a triple camera setup, a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging, 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It also retains the same overall design profile of its standard sibling.
In keeping with the theme, OnePlus has customized the software on the phone – while it still ships with OxygenOS 14, the Genshin Impact Edition’s user interface comes with customized system app icons, an Electro Element charging animation, and an exclusive Always-On Display. The phone also features personalized power-on and fingerprint unlock animations, in addition to an exclusive Keqing visual and live wallpaper every time the phone is unlocked.
Pricing and Availability
In terms of pricing and availability, the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition costs £699 and will be available for purchase in India, Europe, and North America through OnePlus.com. Pre-orders will run between 28th February – 30th March, and open-sales start from 31st March.
In addition to the specially-themed packaging and accessories like the USB-C cable and charging brick, the phone is also bundled with highly collectible merchandise and accessories for Genshin Impact fans, such as a Lightning Stiletto-shaped SIM tray ejector, a violet charging adapter with Electro Element and Lightning Stiletto logos.
