Oppo has been in the spotlight a lot, lately – the launch of the highly-impressive Find N5 foldable pretty much shows again that it’s more than capable of taking on “big” mainstream brands, although it’s still a shame that the Find N5 will be difficult to acquire if you live in the west. With that in mind though, Oppo’s midrange-segment phones are still in abundance in most markets across the world, and this includes the Reno 13 Pro which was recently announced with global availability.

While Oppo’s Reno series are usually a step below its Find flagship range, they’ve only gotten more impressive over the years, and present as a pretty great option for buyers who are looking to get a new smartphone, but don’t necessarily need all the bells and whistles. What does the Oppo Reno 13 come with though? Let’s find out.

Let’s look at the design – as far as looks are concerned, the Oppo Reno 13 Pro is as “standard” as they come. It’s another glass-metal combo that features an aluminium side rail, with Gorilla Glass 7i on the display and an IP69 rating for a bit of added durability with everyday use. The camera bump on the rear panel likewise evokes a more conservative design, being confined to the upper left corner. No large circular camera island modules here, which Oppo mostly reserves for its flagship-grade devices. Overall though it’s a design that works nicely, despite not doing anything groundbreaking.

As for the display, it’s an AMOLED panel with a rather large width of 6.83 inches, and a resolution of 1272×2800 pixels. A decade ago, we were seeing compact tablets that featured 7-inch displays, and to see newer phones such as the Reno 13 Pro pack screens close to that size is nothing short of impressive, at least for buyers after a large display. Other display specs include a 120Hz refresh rate, and a modest peak brightness of 1,200 nits – not the brightest display out there, which is something to keep in mind especially when phones like the Pixel 8a come with much brighter displays.

Inside, the Reno 13 Pro runs on the Mediatek Dimensity 8350, a 4nm chip designed for midrange devices. It’s accompanied by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, although you can get a slightly-more expensive version that maxes out at 1TB of storage, and 16GB of RAM. The Oppo Reno 13 Pro runs on ColorOS, a modified version of Android 15 that features additional apps such as Oppo’s own software services and features, personalization and customization options, and more. Powering this entire setup is a large 5,800 mAh battery, with support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Lastly, the Oppo Reno 13 Pro also features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main lens with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. It also includes a color spectrum sensor, LED flash, HDR, and panorama capabilities. Video recording reaches 4K at 30/60fps. The front camera is a 50MP wide lens with autofocus, also capable of 4K video recording.
