Once an offshoot of Oppo, Realme has undeniably grown into its own brand, and over the years we’ve seen some pretty-impressive handsets from the former sub-brand. That in mind, the Realme P3 Ultra was finally announced just recently, and it packs a specs sheet that might make you do a double-take especially with its sub-300 quid price, at least when converted. Currently going for sale in select markets such as India, let’s take a look at what Realme’s latest midrange champ offers.

With a chassis that’s slim at just around 7.38mm, the Realme P3 Ultra (or the P3 Ultra for the rest of this article) comes in three different colour options, which include “Neptune Blue,” “Orion Red,” and “Glowing Lunar White,” all of which come with IP69 certification, adding a bit of protection against dust and water such as splashes, accidental immersion, and a bit of light rain. It’s a rather standard-looking smartphone design, and we wouldn’t blame you if you were unable to differentiate from the myriad of other Android phones with hole punch displays on the market.

Speaking of the display, the P3 Ultra features a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen, which according to Realme packs a “quad-curved” design. It’s reasonably sharp with a 2800×1272 FHD+ resolution, and gets smooth thanks to its 120Hz refresh rate. For protection you’re also getting Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which is a much-welcome feature to have on here especially when you consider the handset’s asking price. Overall it’s a solid-looking smartphone, and Realme sticks to a safe-looking design with this one.

Inside, you’re getting the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultra, a 4nm chipset that comes alongside different ram and storage configurations. The P3 Ultra comes in a base model with your standard 8GB of RAM and 12GB of storage, although there’s a slightly more expensive variant at 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage as well. There’s also a large 6,000 mAh battery that should last most users more than a day, and also supports 80W charging, a really handy feature to have especially when you’re in a pinch.

The phone also comes with a 16MP Sony sensor in front for selfies and video calls. There’s a ton of camera features iin addition to video recording that maxes out at 4K resolution at 30 frames per second.
