What's This?

The leaks just won’t stop – it’s only a few weeks left until Google launches its highly-anticipated Pixel 9 series devices, and it looks like the internet has been working non-stop to uncover everything it possibly can about the upcoming devices. With that in mind, we’ve listed some of the newest and tastiest tidbits of info about Google’s still-unreleased smartphones. In case you’ve missed out on all the action, we invite you to take a look at what we could see unfold at the “Made by Google” event this August, as well as some other Google new bits.

Pixel Marketing Materials Leak

Let’s start with what is arguably the biggest leak so far – images of what appear to be official Google marketing materials have unveiled key details of Google’s upcoming Pixel 9 series, just weeks before its anticipated launch. The images, shared by 91mobiles and tech tipster @OnLeaks, highlight several new features including the new Pixel design with flat sides and a revamped camera window.

Also included are a list of device specifications – the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro will come in 6.3 and 6.8-inch variants, while the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will feature a 6.3-inch external display and 8-inch main display. Camera setups vary, with the Pixel 9 Pro models boasting a triple camera system including a telephoto lens, while the Pixel 9 offers a dual camera setup, and all models will be powered by the Tensor G4 chipset, with RAM options reaching up to 16GB for the Pro variants.

The Pixel 9’s Colour Variants Make an Appearance

For the base model Pixel 9, leaked images (also by @OnLeaks) reveal the colour options for Google’s “vanilla” flagship – these include Porcelain, Obsidian, Green, and Pink, and it looks like Google is replacing the “Bay” color from the Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8a. It also appears that Google has added some new tricks to Magic Editor, with users now being able to use the editor via descriptions to tweak their photos. There’s also an upcoming “Add Me” feature which lets users take two separate group photos and merge them together to get everyone in the shot.

Guess What – the Pixel Buds Pro 2 Have Been Leaked as Well

Not done with the phones, @OnLeaks also leaked the upcoming Pixel Buds Pro 2. Image renders showcase the Pixel Buds Pro 2 in several new colour variants which consist of Charcoal, Porcelain, Aloe, and Pink. While the earbuds look like they retain the same charging case as on the first-gen Pixel Buds Pro 2, the earbuds adopt a “wing” design similar to the Pixel Buds A series for improved ear fit. While details about audio upgrades remain scarce, the official launch in August should unveil the full feature set of Google’s next-gen earbuds (unless the features get leaked as well).

New Features Arrive with the Latest Fitbit Update

Fitbit recently rolled out new features for several devices via an OTA update, which should make its way to more users in the coming weeks – the new update is available for the Sense 2, Versa 4, Charge 6, and Inspire 3. As such, users can now control YouTube Music, adjust text size on Sense 2 and Versa 4, and enjoy 20 new exercise modes on Inspire 3. Auto Detect for rowing, elliptical, and spinning exercises has been added to Sense 2, Versa 4, and Charge 6, along with improved heart rate tracking using Google’s Machine Learning. GPS accuracy for outdoor activities has also been enhanced on Sense 2, Versa 4, and Charge 6.

Google Changes Purchase Methods for TV Shows and Content

Finally, it looks like Google is consolidating TV show purchases onto YouTube, eliminating the option to buy episodes and seasons directly through Google TV devices, Android TV devices, or the Google TV Mobile app. Users can still access previously purchased content across platforms, but new purchases will be exclusively available on YouTube. This change aligns with Google’s strategy of centralizing content on YouTube.
