It’s finally the weekend, meaning that we’ve just finished another round of weekly tech news, including top stories from big industry names such as Apple, all the way to “newcomers” like Nothing. So for those of you out there who have been too busy grinding away these past few days, we’ve prepared a quick list of some tech highlights that you might want to catch up on. Let’s check them out!

ChaptGPT Arrives for the Nothing Phone 1

Nothing’s latest firmware update – Nothing OS 2.5.5 – has finally arrived for several of its smartphones, including its first-ever model, the Nothing Phone 1. With that in mind, the new update does come with a ton of features and fixes for security, but most notably it also features ChatGPT integration which was announced by Nothing a while back. Be sure to check your Nothing Phone 1 for the new update!

Apple Shares Tank Worldwide

In a surprising (depending on how you view it) bit of news, Apple has announced that iPhone sales have dropped internationally, falling by more than 10% in the first three months of this year. Revenue across the company declined by 4% to $90.8 billion as well, although the company’s performance in Europe seems to be unaffected. The company adds that the figures were “distorted” by Covid-related supply issues earlier on, although it’s expected that it might bounce back once this year’s iPhones arrive.

Beats Launches New Earbuds and Headphones

Beats recently announced the launch of its all-new Beats Solo Buds, as well as the next generation of its popular “Solo” headphones, the Beats Solo 4. Both products come with a plethora of features geared towards sound quality and convenience, including powerful audio, several hours’ of battery life, instant one-touch pairing for both Android and iOS devices, and more. The Solo Buds will be available for £79, while the Beats Solo 4 will go for £199 for buyers in the UK.

Huawei’s Pura 70 Series Debuts in Europe

Huawei finally announced that it was bringing over its new Pura 70 series phones to Europe, which pack some premium hardware features and a new look, most evident with the series’ unique camera design. According to the company, the new Pura branding is geared “towards a fusion of leading imaging technology, aesthetic design and original style.” The Pura 70 series consists of three phones, which are the Pura 70, 70 Pro, and 70 Ultra, and are priced at 999 Euros, 1,199 Euros, and 1,499 Euros, respectively.

The Pixel 8a Leaks Again

The Pixel 8a has been leaked into oblivion by now, with various online sources and sites pumping out new details about Google’s upcoming mid-ranger everyday. Most recently, a new leak from X/Twitter user @MysteryLupin showcases what looks like an ad for the Pixel 8a, which claims that the phone will launch with a €549 price tag. Previous leaks have confirmed that the phone will come with a matte rear panel, 120Hz display, as well as Google’s Tensor G3 chipset.
