Microsoft has had a lot of negativity on the Xbox One, with most of their launch conference focused on TV and other gimmicky features. At E3, they decided to go in full game mode, announcing and showing a ton of new titles.
Xbox 360 News
First, they decided to give a little heads up to the Xbox 360. They announced a new console redesigned with the look of the Xbox One and Xbox Live Gold Members now get two free games per month, starting with AC2 and Halo 3.
Grand Theft Auto 5 will be coming to the Xbox 360, as we all expected. World of Tanks, a PC tank game, will be coming with an Xbox 360 version. Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, will be coming to the Xbox 360, we believe this is a platformer with puzzle aspects.
Dark Souls II is another Xbox 360 title coming soon, the game is a medieval fighter, as many fans of the series will know.
Xbox One News
The Xbox One had a ton of releases, starting with Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. With the Xbox One, the team believe they can create a new style of stealth with a better engine to support multiple weather climates and different random events.
Ryse: The Son of Rome came next, a medieval battlefield game with impressive new combat controls. Crytek will be leading the development and have a new engine for the Xbox One game.
Killer Instinct 3 was revealed, with large applause from the audience that can remember the fighting game. The new game brings multiplayer elements and a new controller designed by MadCatz.
Insomniac Games then took the stage with their new game, Sunset Overdrive. The game is an open shooter with ever updating elements to make it replayable. Minecraft was announced for the Xbox One, with larger maps.
Forza Motorsport 5 was announced for the Xbox One, we already knew this title was coming, but a lead developer showed the cars new texture and design and improved AI. This game will have offline elements, like your car winning races even when you are not there.
Quantum Break has already been shown at the Xbox One reveal, but there was not much to go on. The developers have left us confused again, showing a thirty second preview of a cutscene.
Dead Rising 3 was one of the biggest game announces there and it looks like this game could be one of the favourites this year. The world is completely open and full of zombies, weapons and things to do.
Projekt Red came to the stage to announce Witcher 3 will be coming to the Xbox One. This game will have an improved engine, an open world, hundreds of new hours of storyline to sink into and more features coming soon.
Battlefield 4 was shown, after a little bit of lag and downtime. The wait was worth it though, the game looked very compelling and the new destructive engine DICE has built for the FPS looks incredible.
What Lies Below is a questionable game, the preview showed about a minute of gameplay and it looks like a 2D puzzle platform game, with possible multiplayer elements.
Then there was an incredible reveal, at first we thought it may be Destiny or a new IP, but then the wind in the desert revealed Master Chief and the new Halo game coming to Xbox One was revealed.
Titanfall was the last title announced at the Xbox event, it is a new IP and yet another FPS coming to the Xbox One. The game follows a war on some planet and both forces fight on foot or in Titans, large battle-pods.
