If you’re in the UK and are looking for a budget-friendly Android tablet, then you’re in luck – Honor has recently announced that the Honor Pad X9 is now available for buyers in the United Kingdom, and its latest tablet offers some pretty sweet features.
External Design
Up front is a large 11.5-inch screen, which comes with a 2000 x1200 pixel resolution. This is flanked by a six-speaker audio system, making it ideal for media consumption, web and social media browsing, and any other task which might require large screen real estate. The screen is surrounded by a slick design that features fairly slim bezels, as well as a pretty slim build overall. Honor adds that the speaker system on the tablet packs a higher volume level and a deeper, richer bass sound, with a more immersive and cinematic listening experience.
The tablet also comes with a sturdy build, thanks to an aluminium rear panel, as well as an aluminium frame that surrounds the entirety of the tablet. The sides of the device feature the speakers, as well as the USB-C charging port.
Other Features and Software
Powering the tablet is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685, paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. It’s a setup that we see on a lot of midrange and entry-level Android devices, so it’s not really surprising to see it on the Honor Pad X9, especially given its price. With that being said however, the Snapdragon 685 isn’t exactly a pushover, and should be fine for most tasks, and maybe even a bit of light gaming.
As for software, the Honor Pad X9 ships with the latest Android 13-based MagicOS 7.1, Honor’s proprietary user interface and Android skin. While you do get some additional apps from honor and third-party developers, there are some included software features which might come in handy, including Honor Connect, which sync notifications between compatible Honor devices, and allows for seamless file transfer between devices on a single screen. One highlight of the device is the large 7250 mAh battery, which should be more than enough to last most users an entire day.
For video calls and the occasional social media photo, the tablet comes with a pair of 5-megapixel cameras on the front and back.
Pricing and Availability
The HONOR Pad X9 will be sold in a single Space Grey variant – starting from the 10th July, the device will be available for purchase in the UK via HiHonor, starting at £179.99.
